Got an 80s party next week - no money to buy a proper costume. I was thinking about a black mini skirt with black tights and neon pink leg warmers. I've got a white tshirt with a union jack on it as well. Shoes - either a bronze shiny coloured pair of heels or just standard black heels. Hair - BIG. Big hoop earrings and maybe a colourful beaded necklace. Makeup - lots of bronzer, blue eyeshadow and a bluey-greeny eyeliner. What do you think??

Is there anything on the high street at the mo that might be suitable? I don't want to get a proper fancy dress costume, I just want a few ideas on how I could achieve the look with normalish clothes so I could wear them again maybe? Or if there was anyone around in those decades who I could easily dress up as? Thanks in advance :) I'm in the UK by the way!

I went to an 80's party recently. You're going to have a lot of fun :)! Get a lot of make up and jewelry, neon and bright colors are the best. Also, the bigger your hair the better. Tease your hair using a comb and a heavy hairspray! Also lots of bright clothes work, look up pictures and be creative. Leggings, ripped jeans, big sweatshirts off of one scholder...etc.

neon colors i would do black and hot pink or black and hot green i would also wear heals with the little socks and probably stretch pants hot pink lipstick and blue eyeshadow with blue eyeliner
