its worth what any used car of that year is. What kind of car is it. Your being very stupid about this what are you twelve.
I have a large garden accessible from the road, but I don't want to build a brick garage. Can I get a shed-like structure instead? Where and what costs? Thanks.
yes you can i am looking for a workshop at the moment so have trawled the net and know there is such a thing here are a couple of sites i am looking at http://www.leisurebuildings.com/products/garages/ this one has offers from time to time that are great http://www.shedstore.co.uk/itemclas.php/findclas/Garages/showalll/1 and this is a cheap site http://www.waltons.co.uk/workshops-and-garages/garages/ good luck **edit all of these are cheaper than the 1st answer, they have free delivery but i would suggest erecting it yourself, thats where the cost soars, and they come in panels, it really isnt that difficult, and prepare a proper base before it comes and youre away!
We are getting married next week and we are looking to hire out a car in the run up to the wedding and for the day, Its next week and we cant find anything apart from chauffeur driven cars and regular rental cars. Please help !!
I don't think there is any place in the whole country where you could hire a vintage car without having to pay for a driver also. Your best bet might be to post an ad on www.boards.ie or another such site and see if anyone could come to your rescue. Good luck with the wedding!
If you have one, how much does it cost to maintain? Husband keen to buy one but I'm concerned the maintenance will be astronomical.
All the people so far have failed to answer the question: A vintage car is one built between c.1914-30 A veteran car is one built from 1897-c1914. Anything after 1930 is "a classic". Just about any Vintage car (except real exotics like Blower Bentleys, Mercedes SSKL and Bugattis) should be relatively easy to home-service. Surprising amounts of spares are still available or makeable. I wouldn't call any of them a daily driver though. Which would I buy? A nice R-R Phantom I laundaulette (with a nice chauffeuse to drive it!)
It is in mediocre condion.
Very difficult. A fully restored one is going to approach k£100 and so even a mediocre one is going to fetch k£20 at least. Depends on how complete it is and what needs doing. Trouble is with cars like this that cars needing restoration ("barn Finds") often attract crazy money ie cost of car + cost of restoration = a lot more than car is worth on open market. However, if vehicle is rare then the cheque-book restorers really don't care. They are going to buy a rare item and have it restored just the way they want it. If you are new to this game be aware that restoration costs have doubled in last 3 or 4 years. With a vehicle like this there are just no spares around now and you will have to seek the services of specialist engineers/bodybuilders every step of the way unless you are multiskilled and access to workshop facilities which most of us can only dream about.
