French women are beautiful. Ottoman padisahs were aware of this fact, too.
Does anyone else find French connection/FCUK sizes really small?!?
Question
They seem smaller than any other high street brand, I'm a 10 in topshop but a 12-14 in FCUK!
Answer
Yup, they do seem to be small but i think it is to do with the tight fit fashion.

the middle one is boring and cheap looking.
Help with what to wear to a wedding!?
Question
I'm stuck with what to wear to my friend's wedding the weekend of September 24th.
Unfortunately, I put on close to 40lbs when I fell pregnant with my 2nd baby. I went from a size 8 to a size 14 in 9 months. My baby girl is now 5 months old and I've managed to lose enough weight to get me back down to a size 12, flirting with a 10 ;-)
However, I'm a pear shape with very heavy legs when I'm a size 12 (even a 10). The only time in my life when I was able to get away with even knee-length skirts, was when I was a size 6-8.
My friend's wedding dress code is cocktail but all the cocktail dresses I see are short. I'd love to wear something from French Connection or Karen Millen, but their dresses are so short and tight and it really doesn't suit me at the moment - specially since I still have a bit of a belly and wide hips.
I'm really struggling as I feel like I need to hide EVERYTHING in my body to look good :-( My belly, my hips, and my legs. I might as well wear a tent! :-(
Do you think I could get away with wearing a pair of black trousers and a really dressy top? Would that classify as 'cocktail'? Is it acceptable for women not to wear dresses to a wedding? The wedding is located in London, and it's a Jewish wedding. The groom is traditionally English from a very wealthy family, so even though it's cocktail, I'm sure it will be a very classy do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks SO much!
Answer
Black trousers and a really dressy top will be perfect! If you can look for dressy pants, and a heel will look better than a flat shoe. Keep up the good work on your weight loss!!
