RC Planes .?
Question
Hello.
What would be a good beginner plane to start off with if i wanted to start flying rc planes?
Thanks, Josh
Answer
Try to find an RC Club in your area.
DO NOT RELY ON A MODEL SHOP TO SELL YOU THE RIGHT STUFF !
Remember, it only looks easy when someone else has their hands on the controls. Go along to your local club, the model shop should have some idea of where they meet, and talk to people. You`ll get plenty of conflicting advice, just don`t rush into getting something that at best is useless and at worst is a danger to anyone nearby.
rc planes!!!!?
Question
hi does anyone know how long it takes to learn to fly a petrol rc plane with someone helping me.
thanks
Answer
it really depends on your level of skill and personally i wouldnt start with a gasser i would start with something electric but its ok to start with gas/nitro if you have someone to help you. the hardest part is getting over the fact that controls are reversed when it is coming towards you.
RC PLANES .?
Question
Hi.
I really want to get into flying these things. Which is a good starter plane for me? I've been reading the march issue of remote control flyer just tryin to get ideas, but its just japanese to me.
Answer
Hi mate!,
What you want is a high wing trainer, either electric or nitro don't matter. i used to fly these things as a kid and my dad still has some trainers, go for a (hi boy) or (piper cub) these are 2 of the more docile and forgiving planes to fly.
You could also ask the questions at the forum of the British model flying association. www.BMFA.co.uk
And maybe order a monthly mag at your newsagent called RCM&E
(radio controlled models &electronics)
Anyways, great hobby to get into with the summer coming up.
Hope i helped friend!!!

Paul

I Am New To Rc Planes , What Plane Would Be Good For A Starter Plane?
Question
I Dont Want To Spend Lots Tho :P
SomeThing That Is Slow Flying , Not A Fast Jet!
Any Websites Please? Uk Ones Tho
Thanks
Answer
I would advise you get one that wont break easy if your new to it... a good starter plane would be this one... this is like the one I have... it has taken some rather big crashes... (Nose first onto concrete) ... Its made from a flexible material so it is a lot more durable than most others... My friend got one that snapped when he had a bad landing.... so I would definitely advise you getting one like this
